Day 2 of our Mini Getaway: Pagudpud

From Vigan to Pagudpud, it would take at least 4 hours to get there. Since it is our first time to visit Pagudpud, we decided to follow the landmark sign lol, and most of the sign we saw were pointing to Hannah's Resort, so we went to Hannah's Resort. We also visit Bangui Windmill, Bantay Abot Cave, and Patapat Viaduct. Then we went straight to Laoag to stay during the night, and prepare ourselves for Sand Boarding.

After months of being stuck in the city, my office mates and I, finally had a 3 day getaway from Manila to the North. First of all, 3 days is not enough for this getaway, but we still manage to enjoy  it.

Day 1.

We traveled from Trinoma to Vigan. Vigan is one of the few Hispanic Town in the Philippines, and it is well known for its cobblestone streets, and unique architecture. According to google map, it would take 7 hours to travel from Manila to Vigan, which is true, plus additional 2 hours for stop overs.

Vigan at Night.
Day 2.
We explore Vigan during the day, before heading to Pagudpud.

Vigan is one of the most beautiful city to visit in Luzon, imagine they still manage to keep the city as it used to be.

Tips: Souvenirs are cheaper in Vigan.
Cafe Leona, good ambiance, great food. (Try their Pinakbet)

Next stop.. Pagudpud

City of Baguio is probably one of most popular place to visit here in the Philippines. The city is known for its mild climate. It is because of this that Baguio is nicknamed the "Summer Capital of the Philippines". Owing to its high elevation, the temperature in the city is 8 degrees Celsius lower compared to the average temperature of the rest of the country. (Thank you Wikipedia).
So I, together with my office mates, traveled to Baguio to attend my office mate's wedding.

Since it will take hours and hours to travel from Manila to Baguio, we had some stop overs. First stop, Isdaan, then we continue the long drive. We arrived at Baguio at 6:30 in the evening, then we went to SM to buy a gift.

Day 2.

We attended the Wedding of our office mate. After attending the wedding, we had our chance to explore the city and of course, eating is our first priority. Here are few of the pictures of the food we ate.

 Sizzling Plate

We also experience Baguio during night, thrift/window shopping, food tripping while walking the cold streets(literally cold). And we even get to see Iron Man! Yey!
Day 3.
Going back to Manila, but of course we went shopping first. And lastly our trip wouldn't be complete without buying a strawberry.

I hope you enjoy my first post.  Till then :D
